Mission Statement

To facilitate sustainable development of TCI through effective land use planning and regulation to ensure optimising utilization of the countries limited land resources by:

• Formulating national and local area development plans for the use of land, consistent with long-term strategic objectives and environmental sustainability
• Formulating and enforcing necessary regulatory requirements to achieve the objectives of the national and local plans.
• Collaborate with other government agencies, private sector agencies and residents in respect of environmental stewardship, economic development and social progress.
• Facilitate human resource development through training and transfer of technology.
• Increasing public awareness of, and adherence to planning and development regulations.
